How did this idea for putting “I LOVE ME” on the inside of cool t-shirts and giving back to the community come into being?
At the end of 2004, I took the “I LOVE ME” meditation class and learned of Dr. Masuro Emoto’s research studying the positive impact of loving words on the vibration of water crystals. He posits that since the human body is 80% water changing our thoughts can change our health and the health of our planet. As the world around me grew angrier with the day’s world events, a seed started to sprout inside of me. I was moved so powerfully to use my voice to promote a message of love that I could not ignore it.
Experiencing the power of “I LOVE ME” in my own life and what it seemed to give others turned up the heat on my excitement for My Own Biggest Fan. So away I went making t-shirts with the words I LOVE ME actually touching your skin, maximizing their “vibe-shifting” potential.
My hope for My Own Biggest Fan is that it generates a dignified entitlement to deeply loving ourselves, not for the sake of self-aggrandizing, but rather a profound act of acceptance and affection for who we are. The luckiest of us learned self-love from our parents. The rest of us can start now. And all of us could use a warm reminder from time to time.
Once we are filled up with love for ourselves; we can reach out to others from a place of fulfillment rather than grab at others out of lack, we can receive love because we know we deserve it, we can make choices and set clear boundaries in relationship because we believe we are entitled to, we can look at and take responsibility for our humanness with compassion and humor rather than abusive self-criticism, and we can shift the way our cells vibrate for better health and well being.
Here is to generating loving vibes for ourselves and the planet.
Love to You,
